From Tuesday 28 August 2012 Waternook will be ending its run as an award winning Bed & Breakfast and will be re-launched after a full refurbishment as luxury self catering accommodation for 8-10 people!! We are aiming high and want Waternook to be the No.1 place to stay in The Lake District and as the final plans are being drawn up now is a great opportunity for us to ask you what you might like to have at Waternook? Some ideas sent our way include: hot-tubs, stables, subterranean pool, a bar and a heli-pad. We need your input and no idea is too crazy. In the meantime we are very much still open and taking bookings… We are also taking provisional bookings for Waternook’s launch as self-catering accommodation which will is anticipated to be before the New Year.

Waternook Lakeside Accommodation is a winner of the prestigious 2012 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence!

The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on Trip Advisor, and is extended to qualifying business worldwide. Approximately 10 percent of accommodations listed on Trip Advisor receive this prestigious award.

To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on Trip Advisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews within the last 12 months.

Ferocious storm force winds hit Ullswater
