“Just out of this world”     Our stay at Waternook was just incredible, from the moment we arrived to the time we left, The location PERFECT the views PERFECT the welcoming PERFECT it is such a wonderfull place to stay. We knew there was no on suite but it did not make any difference to our stay or our comfort.

“Inspired and inspiring”     This fabulous house is a heart melting gem. With apparently boundless energy, Dominic has set about making this a homage to perfection. From the luxuriously comfortable beds to the faultless breakfast, via the world's cuddliest bathrobes and some quite staggering hospitality, there isn't a hole you could pick.

Room Tip: All rooms are fabulous, but the deluxe rooms are worth the extra.

The location of Waternook is perfect, a little elevated above Ullswater, commanding superb, uninterrupted views across the lake. The house is beautiful and excellently appointed in every respect. One could not find a more welcoming, obliging, friendly and able host who also commands a vast knowledge of the region. I would not consider staying anywhere else in the area.

This is a genuinely beautiful and lovely place. A real gem. Dominic is an energetic and warm host who is passionate about making Waternook the best it can be.
